MODULARITY is both conceptual framework and process. I work with a growing collection of uncarved linoleum MODULES - cut to shape, inked, and printed by hand as a means of inquiry into the relationship between parts and the whole.

Each print is cut, removing the negative space, to push the boundaries of traditional printmaking. These works exist somewhere between sculpture and paper cut. The space around and behind the piece becomes integral to the composition, shifting with each viewing context. Light and shadow extend the work into its environment, allowing it to function as a site-specific installation.

Rooted in repetition, manual labor, systems, and the GRID, form and meaning evolve through accumulation and context.
